Optimising water: For cleaner cellular hydration

We are all aware that water is a critical nutrient - needed daily to help our body operate effectively.

With all of our body cells functioning in a medium of water, without enough, our body systems are put under strain, and this can affect our performance and daily well-being. And our skin cells require plenty of water to help it look hydrated, smooth and radiant. Hydration researchers say that between 2.7- 3ltrs of water daily is where we should be aiming.

The quality of the water you drink

The quality of tap water quality varies from region to region and across time so tap water should generally be filtered to improve purity and remove harmful substances. Using a good quality water filter system should remove contaminant such as heavy metals, bacteria, however filtration also removes some of the critical natural minerals found in water such as magnesium and potassium. Electrolyte supplement formulas, or adding a little lemon the finest pinch of sea salt can help to remineralise your filter water, and add nutrients that support deeper cellular hydration.

3 Ways to optimise your tap water

  • Filter tap water with a good quality/plastic free filtration system

  • Add a squeeze of lemon and tiny pinch of sea salt to filtered water for natural electrolytes and remineralisation

  • Store water in glass or metal containers to avoid nano plastic contamination
